Don Saban

Don Saban, a native of Phoenix Arizona, received his formal training at the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara. While attending Brooks he simultaneously studied art and photography under professor William A. Rohrback at UCSB. Following his education, he became an integral member of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art Photography Committee and gained recognition as one of the first photographers featured in Art Life magazine, and the first to be on the cover. After relocating to Los Angeles, he taught at Otis/Parsons while his work appeared in numerous publications and exhibitions. A decade later, he returned to Santa Barbara as Principal Photographer for the University of California, and documented the Hungarian Avant-Garde for the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Over the years, Saban has held numerous solo and group exhibitions, and his works reside in prestigious museum and private collections worldwide.
