El Coyote first opened on March 5, 1931, in a small location at First Street and La Brea in Los Angeles before moving to its current home at 7312 Beverly Boulevard. The restaurant was prominently featured in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, in which Margot Robbie portrayed actress Sharon Tate, who had her last meal there.
