Once a beloved local hangout at 1516 W. 6th Street in Los Angeles, Al’s Coffee Shop may be long closed, but it lives on in the hearts of those who knew it. Fun fact: this photo was snapped by Don from the rooftop of his penthouse studio at 2500 W. 6th, capturing Al’s from a block away, right across from the now-gone H.G. Daniels Art Store. A snapshot of a lost L.A. era.
