Opened in 1949 at 1646 N. Las Palmas Avenue, Miceli’s was founded by WWII veteran Carmen Miceli and his wife Sylvia, serving authentic Sicilian family recipes. As Hollywood’s first Italian restaurant, it quickly became a favorite among stars and power players. Everyone from JFK and Nixon to Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, the Beatles, Lucille Ball, and modern icons like Julia Roberts and Jim Carrey have dined in its historic wooden booths, originally from the nearby Pig ’n Whistle. A true Hollywood institution.
