This iconic LA landmark began in 1939 as a humble pushcart run by Paul and Betty Pink near La Brea and Melrose. As word spread and the crowds grew, the family opened the now-famous stand at 709 North La Brea Avenue in 1946, where it’s been serving up classics ever since.
