This is an original vintage travel advertising poster published by the Italian Tourism Board ENIT to promote the city of Padova (Padua in English) in Veneto northern Italy. Stunning artwork by the notable Italian artist and poster designer Marcelo Dudovich (1878-1962), considered to be one of the first leading Italian poster designers. The poster is featuring The Equestrian Statue of Gattamelata (1453) by the famous renaissance sculptor Donatello (Donato di Niccolo di Betto Bardi, c. 1386-1466), located in the Piazza del Santo with the historic facade and domes of the Pontifical Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua / Basilica Pontificia di Sant'Antonio da Padova (built 1232-1310) in the background in soft orange and yellow shades under a cloudy sky, the title below in grey with the ENIT logos.
