Linen backed and ready to frame. It is in excellent condition. The Greece Tourist Agency, during the late 1940’s and early 1950’s created a large number of beautiful travel posters for destinations in Greece. The country was hoping to enjoy some of the increased tourist traffic that was a result of newer airplanes and the improved economies of the world after the end of WWll. The Apollo of Olympia was part of the group of sculptures found in the west pediment of the Temple of Zeus at Olympia. This is an Original Lithograph Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. |
