"This worker stomping out corruption and other vermin on behalf of L’Action Combattante epitomizes a group of militant radical activists originally founded in 1901 by Henry Berenger, a senator from Guadeloupe. It served various causes over the years; during World War II, for example, it issued a clandestine newspaper of the French Resistance."
