| Additional Description: | Paul Newman as boxing legend Rocky Graziano in his breakthrough film. Newman had lost out lead roles in three prior films to James Dean. Dean was supposed to play Graziano in this film but after his untimely death after wrapping production on Giant, New man was given the part. Steve McQueen plays a small part in the film and Newman and McQueen wouldn't work together again until 1974 when they co-starred in the Irwin Allen produced The Towering Inferno. |
