This stunning color lithograph was created to celebrate the inauguration of the Brussels harbor installations, scheduled for September 19–28, 1914. The composition captures the elegance and decorative richness of the Art Nouveau era, featuring ceremonial figures beneath a magnificent ship and banners. Many elements—especially the ship and flags in the upper section—are enhanced with gold foil, giving the poster a luminous presence and exceptional visual depth. This example is the rare “before-lettering” version, printed before the event text was added to the lower portion. Shortly after the poster was produced, the celebration was canceled due to the German invasion of Belgium in August 1914, making surviving examples historically significant. Printed in Brussels by O.
