"La Bretagne Pittoresque Lannion." Showcasing the scenic beauty of Lannion in Brittany, France, this rare collectible captures the timeless charm of one of the region’s most enchanting towns, presented in stunning Art Deco style. Nestled in the scenic region of Brittany, Lannion is known for its charming old town, riverside setting, and famous landmarks. One of the town’s most iconic sights—and frequently featured in vintage posters—is the Brélévenez Steps (Escalier de Brélévenez). This historic granite staircase, with its dramatic climb of over 140 steps, guides visitors from the town center up to the 12th-century Saint-Jean-du-Baly Church (Église de Brélévenez). Flanked by traditional Breton houses bursting with flowers, the steps provide sweeping views of Lannion’s medieval rooftops and the peaceful Léguer River below. The Brélévenez Steps are more than just a passage—they are a beloved meeting point, a photographer’s favorite, and a testament to the town’s enduring character. Lannion, located in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Brittany, is a historic town famous for its charming medieval architecture, cobblestone old town, and scenic riverbank views along the Léguer River. Rich in Breton culture, Lannion serves as a gateway to the well-known Pink Granite Coast, celebrated for its striking rock formations and coastal walks. The town features landmarks such as the 12th-century Brélévenez Church, lively weekly markets, and vibrant festivals showcasing local music and cuisine. In the 1930s, Lannion was cherished as a peaceful destination for travelers seeking natural beauty and an authentic French atmosphere, perfectly captured in this beautiful period poster.
