Additional Information: Original horizontal format; linen backed vintage poster for Othello. Full lithograph from the 1920. Stafford & Co., England. Brilliant, scarce stone lithograph of Othello with dagger and sleeping Desdemona in climactic scene of Shakespeare tragedy. This is an Art Nouveau period English poster for a production of the Shakespeare play Othello. This poster was printed by S Co Ltd, Stafford & Co Ltd, Netherfield, 1920s. Excellent condition. All original vintage posters are available to be view in person at The Vintage Poster Gallery in Laguna Beach. Othello, a Moorish general of Venice, has just promoted Cassio as his lieutenant; Iago, who was hoping for the promotion himself, plots against both Cassio and Othello to exact revenge. Othello has secretly married Desdemona, the beautiful daughter of Venetian senator Brabantio, and Iago determines to use Desdemona as the means of his revenge. This is an Original Lithograph Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.
