|Additional Information:||Original poster: Eriac Cyclomoteurs. Designed by Studio Rocher. Printer: Imp. Aussel, Paris. Linen backed. This motorcycle was the first to complete an 18,000 km trip from Paris to Tokio. Eriac specialised in cyclos sportives. Maigret fans may be interested to know that Eraic had premises in the boulevard Richard-Lenoir. The designers at Studio Rocher managed to pack a lot of information in this star-speckled promotion for cyclemotors. Let us unpack this powerful machine: the Italian-crafted Cucciolo engine was one of the first postwar cyclemotor engines on the market—and it powered one of the first Ducatis. Prototypes were first marketed in 1947, and it quickly became the most highly regarded motor. The cyclemotor won several tourism and sporting competitions, including the 18,000 kilometer Paris-Tokyo ride in 1949 and reached the world speed record at Monza in 1950. In France, M. Rocher supplied Cucciolo engines and made their own Cucciolo-powered cyclemotors, which were then sold by Seine-based ERIAC, an approved dealer licensed to sell the frames ready-supplied with Rocher's Cucciolo engines.|
