| Additional Information: | Original L'Image. Presented in a 16" x 20" acid free archival museum mat. This is one of the 12 original L 'Image lithographs created for the issue of L 'Image in 1898. The issuance that was done is a quantity of 100 pieces on velum paper and 10 copies on fine Japanese imperial leaves. Currently this is the only set of all 12 pieces available from the most famous artists of their day, available for sale. These covers were for operas, plays and reviews. A revue of Litteray and artistic. Ornée de Figures sur bois. Translated it means" decorated faces on wood." Revue mensuelle litteraire & artistique. In 1896, the French Corporation of Wood Engravers decided to publish a monthly magazine entitled L'Image, a monthly artistic literary magazine, intended to promote its art and spark a revival in the world of publishing.
