Additional Information: August Osterrith; small format art deco poster image by the German artist Henze. The size is 10.5 x 15.25". This is a 'cartone' which is an indoor display mounted on a light cardboard backing. The image style of the Greek mythological figures of Hermes or as know to the Romas as Mercury. Cartone on board. A beautiful Art Deco poster realized for the printing firm of August Osterrieth in Frankfurt am Main, Germany (est. 1831). As the caption on this poster loosely tells us: “This logo is a guarantee of a good print job”, this logo being held by the winged Mercury. Follows a list of works carried out on the premises, such as printing, lithography, offset printing and book binding. The text on this art deco image is all in German.
