We’re proud to announce that Sticky: The Retrospective Work of Stephen Stickler, the fine art photo book, is now available.  The book will re released at the inaugural Pop Art Photo Show by Limited Runs, is a limited edition, 88-page fine art photo book which includes exclusive thoughts, experiences, and insight from the late Stephen Stickler, a renowned music and celebrity photographer who served as Fashion and Photo Editor for both RayGun and Bikini Magazine.

Stickler spent his 20-year career shooting for a number of acclaimed pop culture magazines, including Rolling Stone, Spin, Entertainment Weekly, Revolver, and Detour, photographing a number of the music and entertainment industry’s largest stars, including Nirvana, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ozzy Osbourne, The Beastie Boys, Chris Cornell, Iggy Pop, Christopher Walken, Drew Barrymore, Jack Black, Kate Winslet, Jet Li, and more.

“Stephen Stickler’s photographs reveal his respectful curiosity, his overwhelming generosity, and his supernatural ability to set a person at ease. He’s never taking from his subjects but making them that promise we all depend on when a lens is pointed in our direction, truth.” Shannon Hamblin

“Whether it was fifteen minutes with Christopher Walken, a day with the Foo Fighters, or mentoring another new kid taking photos on a first assignment, Stephen’s desire and willingness to connect with people was one of the things that made him so special. The world in his eyes serene, unimposing, and perhaps it is that way he approached life and people that makes his photography so contemplative and unique. There’s a feeling of omniscient requite between Stephen and his subjects, a contract of intimacy and trust forged between the artist and Stephen’s lens. And whatever it was in Stephen’s eyes, he could find that thing in you. The gravity with which Chris Cornell rests his folded arms over his knees, the humble mischief in Fiona Apple’s over the shoulder glance, the vulnerability of John Frusciante getting a shave, and the tenderness of Jeff Buckley’s unbridled soul.” Shannon Hamblin

The fine art photo book is now available.  Quantities are limited.
