Laffly was a French manufacturer of trucks and utility vehicles which was founded in 1849 and remained in business until the early 1950s. The company was best known for their firetrucks, but also produced a range of military vehicles in the decade that preceeded the Second World War. In this poster, Laffly is advertising the speed and effectiveness of their trucks - le "rapide des camions" (the fast trucks) is definately an appropriate mention for something that drives faster than trains! |
