Additional Info: Until recently no one knew that the infamous 3D photos shot by Harold Lloyd of Marilyn Monroe posing by the swimming pool at Lloyd’s Greenacres estate in 1953, was actually part of the Cold-War intrigue of the 1950’s. Monroe had agreed to shoot a segment for a series of secret and highly classified U.S. government propaganda films. These films focused on ways secrets could be leaked and the importance of confidentiality. In each film, Monroe was tacked on to the end, cooing “I hate a careless man.” The military needed secrecy and the estate’s sheer size guaranteed isolation, and the military knew Lloyd could be trusted. This photo is part of the series of photos shot on that idyllic day in 1953. All photos taken by Lloyd were shot in 3D.

All sizes listed are paper sizes, photographs have a border. Editioned prints are numbered in the border and estate stamped on the verso. Certificate of Authenticity is provided by the Harold Lloyd estate with all prints sold.
