|Additional Information:|| Lithogrpah printed in colors, References: Schunck/Diggelmann pg 68, This is an original Swiss Art Deco poster designed in the mid 1920's by Karl Bickel for the Savoy Hotel in St. Moritz. St. Moritz was the first year-round sports resort in the Swiss Alps and continues to attract Europe's gliteratti.
Bickel portrays the dining room of the Savoy Hotel aglow with soft lights and filled with its international clientele, all fashionably dressed, sipping cocktails, and engaged in quiet conversations. As the violinist strolls through the room, we see the waiter carrying a platter with a large lobster. Obviously, the Savoy hotel is the place to see and be seen.
