Pan American-Grace Airways, better known as Panagra, was an airline formed as a joint venture between Pan American World Airways and Grace Shipping Company. The airplane in this poster is most likely the Douglas DC3-229 which was purchased by the airline in 1937. From Miami to Buenos Aires was a fast 4 day (with night layovers) flight! Later after WWII , flying a DC-6, the flight time was reduced to about 21 hours. On the bottom of this image is a Gaucho (Argentine cowboy) with a rawhide boleadora as it is being thrown from one image into the next. This is a rare original Pan American Grace Airways Panagra original lithograph, perhaps the last surviving copy. This is an Original Lithograph Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.
