This poster is for the 1938 festival in Nice, France. Printer : Moullot Nice Carnival has been celebrated since the thirteenth century . Between "battle of flowers", fireworks, parades of flowery chariots (called "corso carnavalesque") and costumes. Saltimbanques and musicians punctuate the carnival tradition that opens with HM the King! The big red mask features the wording of 'Carnaval' as the lace ring around he neckline of this image.
