Additional Information: Original color lithographic poster, References: Peigno A.54, Calver & Thibault pg. 54, This original 1951 Air France poster designed by Vincent Guerra promotes travel between Paris and New York. Guerra pictures a chic cafe scene in Paris's Tuileries garden with its view of the Arc de Triomphe and the Statue of Liberty rising into the sky as Air France's plane flies overhead. This poster effectively communicates the message that this transatlantic flight combines speed, efficiency and luxury.

The plane is unmistakably a Lockheed Constellation with its triple tail design. Air France purchased its first Constellation in 1947 and inaugurated its use on this route.
