|Additional Information:||Original poster: Royal Canadian Mounted Police horizontal image with an Indian tracker in the snow. Horizontal format. Arnold Friberg, 1920-2010, was a famous American illustrator and oil painter. He was famous for his biblical and patriotic subject matter, which lead to a commission from the Northwest Paper Company for a number of works depicting the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). The paintings were sold and serialized with such success that Friberg produced more than 300 works portraying the rugged Canadian frontier and the brave men who protected it. This was only Friberg's third major project at the time, and solidified him as great American painter. When he died in Salt Lake City, Utah, he was the last living proponent of the Norman Rockwell/Harvey Dunn school of illustration. Below is a selection of some of his 300+ RCMP works. Size: 23" x 18". C. 1948. Archival linen backed and ready to frame. Poster #RCMPPoster #RoyalCanadianMountedPolice #mountie #RCMP|
