Pictured the German symbol of an eagle appears to be bleeding, and coughing up blood as it struggles to fly. “The political weekly, La Baionnette, was a virtually anti-German publication during World War 1, publishing many anti-war drawings by leading artists of the period from 1915 to 1920.
