Protected in a 16" x 20" acid free mat for presentation also suitable for framing. Mucha was commissioned to do 12 covers for this magazine. Very rare. Hearst's International was published from May 1921 to February 1925 when it merged with The Cosmopolitan. February Valentine hearts hang along the left side of the image as well as gold hearts on the bottom of the woman's white dress. Is this cupid dressed in red is standing behind her, or it is the devil of her life? He sits with his hand held across his heart. The gold outside boarder around the cover and behind the letter "s" in Heart's has been restored and touched up. This is one of the ultra rare original Heart's International covers that they commissioned from Alphonse Mucha.|
