This original Italian Anisetta Evangelisti (a.k.a. Monkey) is one of our favorites here at the gallery. Happily, a fuzzy little monkey sits on a crate of Anisetta Evangelisti as he tries to enjoys a bottle of this delicious liquor himself! (The bottle cap is still on the bottle because it was not allowed to actual consumption of liquor touching the lips of any person.) Today, this poster is rare and difficult to find; especially in excellent condition; such as the one being offered! Anisetta is a type of liquor flavored with the Anise flower. Containing liquorice-like components anise is sweet and very aromatic. Therefore it makes sweet and tasty dessert liquor that this drunken monkey advertises. Biscaretti was an industrial designer who produced only a handful of posters, most of them for the automotive industry between 1920 and 1930. This Anisetta Evangelisti is an Original Italian, 1925, Vintage Stone lithograph Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.|
