Additional Information: Original lithographic poster printed in colors, Benedictin was introduced in 1911 by a vinegar and oil factory in Seclin, France to market oil sold in glass bottles. The holy name was adopted to impart the belief in the purity and the quality of the product. The poster also sends the message that it is a great oil for making fresh mayonnaise. Interestingly, in 1957 the company now known as Benedicta, was the first to introduce table top mayonnaise in France. I've dated it from the 1930's but it's one of those posters that's hard to know, it could quite possibly be earlier.

This poster is practically one-of-a-kind.
