Fortunately, he had retained vintage prints of some of his favorite shots of prominent jazz musicians, like <a title=\"Chet Baker: Birdland by Bill Spilka\" href=\"https:\/\/www.limitedruns.com\/original\/photography\/music-photography\/chet-baker-birdland\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Chet Baker<\/strong><\/a>, <a title=\"Miles Davis at the Newport Jazz Festival by Bill Spilka\" href=\"https:\/\/www.limitedruns.com\/original\/photography\/music-photography\/miles-davis-at-the-newport-jazz-festival\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Miles Davis<\/strong><\/a> and <a title=\"Buster Bailey by Bill Spilka\" href=\"https:\/\/www.limitedruns.com\/original\/photography\/music-photography\/buster-bailey\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Buster founder Pierre Vudrag, was granted access to comb through <a title=\"Metronome Jazz Fine Art Photography Collection\" href=\"https:\/\/www.limitedruns.com\/blog\/photography\/uncovered-metronome-jazz-photo-collection\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em><strong>Metronome magazine\u2019s<\/strong><\/em><\/a> long-untouched archives, currently housed by Getty Images, where he uncovered long-forgotten photos\u2014including a number of Spilka\u2019s photographs, some of which had never been seen by the public. \u00a0Including a photo of <a title=\"Frank Sinatra: Reunion by Bill Spilka\" href=\"https:\/\/www.limitedruns.com\/original\/photography\/music-photography\/frank-sinatra-reunion\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Frank Sinatra<\/strong><\/a> taken\u00a0during a rare reunion performance with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra held at the Paramount Theatre in New York City in 1956 (the same
