TIMELINE 1950

After signing with her new agent, Johnny Hyde, Marilyn has brief roles in three films, “A Ticket to Tomahawk,” “Right Cross” and “The Fireball” with little fanfare.

Soon thereafter Marilyn auditions for director John Huston, and is cast her in the MGM film noir “The Asphalt Jungle.”  Marilyn plays the young mistress of an aging criminal. Her performance receives strong reviews.

Marilyn is then cast in writer and director Joseph Mankiewicz’s 20th Century Fox film “All About Eve.” Marilyn receive great notice in the small comedic role as Miss Caswell, an aspiring actress, described by the film’s character, played by George Sanders, as a student of “The Copacabana School of Dramatic Art.”

20th Century Fox resigns Marilyn to a seven year contract.
