TIMELINE 1948

In 1948, Marilyn’s contract with Fox expires and she signs a six-month contract with Columbia Pictures.    During her short stint at Columbia, Marilyn is cast in a major role in the low-budget musical Ladies of the Chorus (1948). Marilyn was reviewed as one of the film’s bright spots, although the film enjoyed only moderate success.  Soon afterwards Marilyn is dropped by Columbia.  Struggling to find work, she returns to modeling.
