JUSTIN BORUCKI

Justin Borucki’s love for photography dates back to his high school days in the early 1990s, when he began roaming the Staten Island punk scene with his camera and documenting what he saw. CDs and album covers soon followed, and his work began to appear in the pages of underground zines as well.

Later, Justin attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, going on to work as photo editor for Guitar World and Revolver. Starting in 2004, he went freelance and became a highly renowned music photographer, known for his dedication to his craft, laid-back attitude, and commitment to keeping it fun. His work appears in “Who Shot Rock and Roll: A Photographic History, 1955 to the Present,” a traveling museum exhibition of rock-n-rock photography; he’s the youngest artist featured.

Justin continues to work steadily and enthusiastically. He also continues to explore “what’s next” – right now it is wetplate photography – from his base in New Jersey, where he lives with his wife, kids, and a revolving line-up of pets.
